Position: Buyer
Location:Mildenhall, Suffolk
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (DOE)
Type: Permanent, fulltime, Hybrid working

We are seeking an organized and proactive Buyer for UK-based manufacturer, offering you an extensive range of cutting-edge and cost-effective components, housings and cabinet solutions.

What will I be doing?
You will be responsible for the timely purchase of goods and consumables, ensuring prices are continuously monitored and negotiated with suppliers, and maintaining up-to-date contracts.
You'll also be responsible for running the MRP weekly and raising the required purchase orders and ensuring that any purchase order is authorised, as well as reviewing demand and ensuring that any minimum stock levels remain relevant.
You'll raise any purchase orders for consumables or overheads as requested.

What skills and experience do I need?
• Experience in a purchasing or procurement role
• Good IT skills including MRP systems and Microsoft Office
• Effective management and prioritisation of tasks
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to help identify new suppliers
• CIPS desirable but not essential
• An understanding of Lean manufacturing techniques and methodologies a bonus
• Driving licence and transport due to location

What will I get in return?
