Job Title: Financial Controller

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per year

Job Overview:
Compass Point Recruitment are working with a reputable business, based in Stowmarket, looking for a meticulous and proactive Financial Controller to join their team in Bacton. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will manage all aspects of financial reporting for the group while leading a small, dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce and manage monthly financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and analysis.
• Provide support to the Operational Management team to achieve budgeted targets.
• Prepare year-end statutory accounts and audit schedules.
• Monitor and prepare key financial metrics, highlighting departmental performance.
• Handle salary payroll processing and oversee wages payroll processing.
• Ensure HMRC compliance and reporting, including VAT returns, P11d, and PSA.
• Prepare and present monthly financial information, including balance sheet, profit and loss, cash flow, and other reports.
• Prepare data analysis showing trends or changes.
• Prepare annual budgets.
• Provide line management and guidance to other finance team members.

The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of accounting principles, financial management, and possess excellent analytical, communication, and organisational skills. They should have a proven track record in a busy finance team and experience in people management. An accountancy qualification is required, and a passion for driving business growth and profitability is essential.
