We are looking for a Goods-In Operative to join a manufacturing business specializing in mechanical components. This role involves receiving and managing goods, and ensuring the warehouse is maintained to high standards.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and offload inbound deliveries, verifying paperwork for accurate processing.
- Assist the Quality team with inspections as needed.
- Accurately label and store goods in designated locations using handheld scanners.
- Use handheld scanners to complete transfers and maintain system accuracy.
- Conduct daily forklift (FLT) inspections.
- Assist with stocktakes as required.
- Contribute to lean initiatives to improve efficiency within your area.
Ideal Candidate:
- Proficient in using modern handheld scanners
- Strong ability to manage and prioritize tasks effectively
- High attention to detail
- Proactive, self-driven, and continuously seeking improvement opportunities
- Working knowledge of IT systems
- A forklift license is essential
