Our client is a leading manufacturer, based in Ipswich and actively growing with pace. You will be joining a fast-paced environment, with a welcoming and caring team.
Your Responsibilities:
• Navigate the maze of health, safety, food, and environmental regulations.
• Fine-tune and optimize our Safety Management Systems, keeping them sharp through a continuous improvement process.
• Architect and maintain site policies and procedures aligned with UK Legislation.
• Conduct insightful audits, measuring and reporting performance across the business, the Board, and the Group.
• Establish a 'Common framework of Operation' that brings all partners on-site into sync.
• Identify pragmatic, cost-effective solutions for HSEQ risks and associated projects.
• Provide essential support, education, and training to our dedicated team.
Leadership Excellence:
• Exhibit strong leadership, communication. Must exhibit strong organisational and project management skills and attention to detail. Ability to coordinate and conduct effective meetings/training for large groups of individuals.
• Influence and motivate stakeholders
• Ability to negotiate with Partners and contractors on site.
• Ability to lead a team successfully and develop subordinate capabilities as future leaders.
• Must possess strong problem-solving & trouble-shooting skills

• Good team facilitator with ability to work with other functions
Your Background:
• Possess a NEBOSH diploma or equivalent degree.
• CMIOSH qualification or actively working towards it.
• A minimum of 3 years in warehouse, distribution, logistics automation, or process industries, experience within the food industry is also ideal
• Exhibit knowledge and experience in high-risk operational environments.
• Proven track record of leading Cross-Functional Project Teams for safety initiatives.
• Background or experience in Process Safety.
• Familiarity with Audit functions.
