A well-established company based in Bury St Edmunds, looking for a dedicated Management Accountant to join the team on a permanent basis. In this role, you will report directly to the Head of Finance and lead the transactional team, taking on a variety of key responsibilities, including:
• Preparing and presenting monthly management accounts.
• Handling quarterly VAT returns with precision.
• Overseeing the sales ledger function, from managing sales orders to credit control.
• Collaborating with external auditors on statutory accounts preparation.
• Monitoring income and expenditure, ensuring alignment with budgets.
• Supporting the finance team with a range of accountancy tasks.
• Managing the budgeting, planning, and forecasting processes.
• Providing strategic financial reports to senior management.
• Offering expert financial advice to improve business performance.
• Assisting in key decision-making and formulating business strategies.
• Communicating financial information to non-financial colleagues in a clear and concise manner.
• Working closely with function managers to contextualise financial data.
• Continuously evaluating and improving financial information systems.

The ideal candidate will be a Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA) and will have experience in a similar role as well as having previously managed a team.
