Primary Accountabilities:
• Ensure hygiene excellence by optimising standards using Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Cleaning Instruction Cards (CICs).
• Improve product quality and yield performance through stringent hygiene practices.
• Lead and develop a high-performance team, focused on continuous improvement, safety, and employee engagement.
• Implement cost-saving measures and drive lean processes.
• Oversee health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulations such as COSHH.
• Maintain an audit-ready environment at all times..

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver site and business objectives, ensuring industry-leading practices are adopted by your team.
• Serve as a key member of the site's HACCP team, maintaining and improving hygiene schedules and risk assessments.
• Lead hygiene audits, inspections, and visits for your team's shift.
• Drive continuous improvement in hygiene standards, ensuring all cleaning processes comply with BRC, retailer, and industry requirements.
• Train and develop your team in hygiene practices, ensuring robust record-keeping and compliance with COSHH regulations.
• Effectively manage budgets, including chemical suppliers and team labour, while ensuring all workspaces are safe and well-maintained.
• Monitor and report on hygiene performance, working closely with the technical team to meet [GMP] standards.
• Empower your team to contribute to continuous improvement efforts, fostering a culture of excellence and customer focus.
• Ensure all Health & Safety and Human Resources documentation is accurate, up to date, and regularly reviewed.
• Support the wider team by attending meetings outside of shift hours as required, conducting investigations, and managing disciplinary procedures up to final written warnings.

Performance Indicators:
• Achieve a minimum of 90% on hygiene audits.
• Maintain labour productivity and manage agency utilization effectively.
• Ensure all SOPs and CICs are current and applicable.
• Deliver on personal development reviews (PDRs) and ensure high safety performance.
• Meet all additional operational KPIs as outlined by the business.

Communication & Collaboration:
• Provide clear, consistent communication with team members and stakeholders, including nightly reports and regular team briefs.
• Actively participate in business meetings and provide feedback on team performance.
• Promote and embody the companies vision, values, and behaviors.

Personal Development & Team Growth:
• Lead, coach, and develop your team, fostering a culture of growth and performance.
• Manage the continuous development of team members, ensuring a strong succession plan and reducing staff turnover.
• Engage in personal development and objective-setting initiatives, contributing to the company's Growing Our Own' strategy.
• Strive to build a talented workforce that delivers exceptional results and motivates colleagues across the organisation.

Key requirements:
• Min 3 years' experience in a similar role
• Min 3 years' experience managing a team within a challenging environment
• COSHH Trained
• FLT Trained
• HACCP Level 2
• First Aid trained

The role includes:
• 5 days in 7 40 hours per week
• £50,000 per annum (depending on experience).
