Compass Point Recruitment is looking to recruit a Quality Manager with proven experience in a similar role, to join our clients established and growing business.

You will report directly to the board, take full responsibility for developing and enforcing the quality management system, and lead on all quality-related aspects, including customer compliance.

You will need to be able to be both proactive and reactive within the position, whilst being open-minded, flexible and pragmatic.

Main Duties
• Lead on all quality-related issues both internal & external
• Line manage and recruit to grow your quality team
• Main liaison between the company and the customer on quality concerns & compliance.
• Analyse and review customer performance metrics / targets and implement processes and procedures to ensure a positive performance against these metrics
• Lead on the development & enforcement of the quality management system ISO9001, including audit requirements.
• Run the monthly quality meetings and associated workshops to drive quality awareness throughout the business
• Lead on customer audits.
• Visit customer sites for meetings and reviews as required

Experience:
• Previous quality manager experience, ideally in a manufacturing role.
• Fabrication / manufacturing/engineering experience
• Experience of managing and motivating a small team
• Knowledge and experience of ISO9001 requirements & processes - it is ideal if you also have ISO14001 experience too!
• Technical ability to problem solve and find solutions to technical problems in a live production environment, often to tight deadlines
• Ability to discuss technical issues with a professional manner in a commercial setting
• Ability to read technical drawings
• Computer literate
• Self-motivated
• Ability to prioritise your own workload
• Driving licence and willingness to travel within the UK
• Project management experience (desirable)

The annual leave entitlement is 21 days + bank holidays.
