Salary: £11.44 - £12 per hour
Behalf of our client Mildenhall-based manufacturing business specializing in high-quality metal and storage products. We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Stores Person to join their team on a temporary-to-permanent basis.
We are looking for a hardworking individual who can take initiative and provide additional support to other departments when needed. The ideal candidate will be efficient, detail-oriented, and capable of contributing to our team's success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and components. Ensure accurate stock levels through regular stock checks and inventory record maintenance.
- Efficiently manage the loading and unloading of incoming and outgoing deliveries.
- Organize and store delivered items in their designated locations, maintaining an orderly and accessible inventory.
- Inspect materials for quality and accuracy against orders, and report any discrepancies or defects to the relevant department.
- Assist with other duties as required to support the production team and overall business operations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a stores or warehouse role, preferably within a manufacturing environment (not essential).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Basic computer skills, with experience in inventory management systems being advantageous.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving heavy items as required.
